The German original. Child in Time is the debut studio album by the British band Ian Gillan Band, created by Ian Gillan, the vocalist of Deep Purple, in 1975. The album was recorded in December 1975-February 1976 and was released in July of the same year. This is Ian Gillan's first solo album after leaving Deep Purple. The title of the album was the name of the song of the same name by Deep Purple, a cover version of which is present on this album.
