A rare English reissue. Electric Ladyland is the third and final studio album by The Jimi Hendrix Experience and the last studio album released during Hendrix's lifetime until his death in 1970. Released by Reprise Records in North America on October 16, 1968 and Track Recordsruen in the UK nine days later, the double album became the band's only recording produced by Hendrix. By mid-November, it reached number one on the US charts, where it spent two weeks at number one. Electric Ladyland became the most commercially successful release of the band Experience and their only number one album. It peaked at number six in the UK, where it spent 12 weeks on the chart. Electric Ladyland has been included in many lists of greatest albums, including Q Magazine's list of the "100 Greatest Albums of 2003" and Rolling Stone's list of the "500 Greatest Albums of All Time" in 2020, in which it was ranked 53rd. The cover was banned by several record stores as "pornographic", while others sold the album with the cover turned inside out or in a brown wrapper.
