One of the interesting supergroups of the second echelon DETECTIVE came to the US in 1975, although its members were British. The band's founder, keyboardist Top the Kauai in the summer of 1968 became the co-founder of YES. The group invited Peter Banks FLASH and BADGER. guitarist Michael Monarch from STEPPENWOLF,bass guitarist Bobby SUGARLOAF Pikett and Studio drummer Jon Hyde, although he did not play in the popular groups, but the reputation of the American Bonham, drummer of Led Zeppelin.At one of the concerts they saw Jimmy Page and invited to his own label, Swan Song. The DETECTIVE seemed to him a suitable group and in the autumn of 1976 they signed a contract and first album Page produced independently.
