The German original. "The Song Remains the Same" is a double live album by the British rock band Led Zeppelin. "The Song Remains the Same" is the soundtrack to the musical concert film of the same name. Recorded in 1973 during the three nights when Led Zeppelin played concerts in New York's Madison Square Garden (as part of the "Houses of the Holy" tour), and released three years later, on September 28, 1976, on Swan Song Records . After its first release in 1976, the album received several mixed reviews, with a number of critics finding it over-produced and cumbersome. In 2013, Classic Rock magazine included the album in the list of "Live Albums that Changed the World"
