Bobby Callender is an African-American artist who combines mysticism, Indian raga and Eastern philosophy in his work. Callender is one of the most mythical figures in popular music of the late 60's. He released two albums on the Akarma Label: "Rainbow" (1968) and The Way (1971). Rainbow is the debut album of the musician from New York. In addition to Bobby himself, a large number of session musicians took part in the recording of the album, playing various classical and exotic instruments: string, wind, and percussion instruments.
