A Twist in the Myth is the eighth Studio album by the German heavy metal band Blind Guardian. Originally it was supposed to be released on 5 September 2006 in Europe (which was the release date in North America), but Nuclear Blast changed the release date of September 1, 2006. The album was released in several different formats: normal version, a digipak version with bonus track and bonus CD,
