The Amboy Dukes was an American rock band formed in 1965 in Detroit, Michigan. The group, which played subsequently became famous guitarist Ted Nugent. Journey to the Center of the Mind is the second Studio album by the Amboy Dukes. The song "Journey to the Center of the Mind" has been covered by such bands as Slade (under the name "Ambrose Slade") on the 1969 album Beginnings, The Ramones on the 1994 album Acid Eaters and Sun City Girlsruen on the album 2001 Libyan Dream.
