American reissue. Axis: Bold as Love is the second studio album by Jimi Hendrix Experience. Track Records first released it in the United Kingdom on December 1, 1967, just seven months after the release of the band's highly successful debut album Are You Experienced. In the United States, Reprise Records postponed the release until next month. The album entered the top ten album charts of both countries. The album became quite successful and went platinum in the US and silver in the UK. In 2000, Axis: Bold as Love was ranked 147th in the ranking of the 1000 best Colin Larkin albums of all time (2000). Rolling Stone ranked Axis: Bold as Love at 92nd place in the list of the 500 greatest albums of all time for 2020.
