The German original. Conquest is the thirteenth studio album by the British rock band Uriah Heep, released in 1980. It was released worldwide on Bronze Records. Combined with the commercial rock sound of the album, this is the most controversial era in the history of Uriah Heep, and many fans believe that Conquest is the band's worst album. Although the album actually received some positive reviews at the time, namely a five-star rating from Record Mirror and three and a half stars from Jeff Barton at Sounds. It also sold well enough to reach the top 40 of the UK album charts.
