Japanese original. Olivia Newton-John's Greatest Hits is the first greatest hits compilation by Olivia Newton-John released in 1978 in the United States. (In some other regions, Newton-John released the 1974 compilation First Impressions. Therefore, this album was sold as Greatest Hits Vol. 2 and contained a different track list.) The album contains all of Newton-John's American Top 40 singles released. between 1971 and 1977. The album became Olivia's first platinum certification, taking the 13th place in pop music and the 7th place in country music. As a result, he received a double platinum certificate in the USA, Platinum in the UK and Canada, as well as gold in Hong Kong. The album sold 133,660 copies in Japan, and 27,150 copies on cassette.
