A rare German original. Blackout is the eighth studio album by the German rock band Scorpions, released in 1982. The album took the 62nd position in the ranking of the "100 best rock albums of all time" according to Classic Rock magazine. The album "Blackout" reached the highest level of sales in the United States and was awarded platinum status by the RIAA for a circulation of more than 1,000,000 copies in March 1984. The album cover features a self-portrait by the artist Gottfried Helnwein.
