The German original. Innocence Is No Excuse is the seventh studio album by the English heavy metal band Saxon. It was released in 1985. Saxon's first album on the British Parlophone label.The album is one of the most controversial in the Saxon discography: some fans of the band and music critics call this cd another failure of the band, while others consider it the last worthy work. Like the two previous releases, Innocence Is No Excuse was aimed at American listeners, and the disc reached the 133rd position on the Billboard magazine chart, the highest in the band's history. On the other hand, Saxon began to lose popularity in their homeland: Innocence Is No Excuse became the first album of the band since 1980, which did not hit the Top 20 of the UK chart. In continental Europe, the album's results were relatively successful in Sweden-18th place, West Germany-33rd place and Greece-43rd place. The album did not enter the charts of the Netherlands and Switzerland.
