Rapture of the Deep is the 18th studio album by the English hard rock band Deep Purple , released in November 2005. The album reached number 43 on the Billboard USA Top Independent Albums chart. In the United States, 2,500 copies were sold in the first week. In the UK, the album sold 3,500 copies in the first week and 1,200 copies in the week after. It also entered the top twenty in several European charts. The title track "Rapture of the Deep" was released as a promo single in 2005.
