The Swedish group Algarnas Tradgard was formed in 1969 and played an active role in the progressive movement the next seven years. Their debut album of 1971 was a radical exploration of new opportunities open to the creative use of the recording Studio as a tool, in the same spirit that Faust and other German experimenters, at the same time, involving folk and medieval influences.
