James Joseph Brown (1933 - 2006) was an American singer, songwriter, dancer, musician, producer and team leader. The Famous Flames - American vocal - and-rhythm group, founded in 1953 in Toccoa, Georgia, Bobby Byrd. James Brown began his career as a member of the Famous Flames, becoming the lead singer at the time of their first professional recording, " Please, Please, Please ", in 1956.
