English original. Equator is the sixteenth studio album by the British rock band Uriah Heep, released in 1985. During this period, Uriah Heep was experiencing a serious, one might say, personnel crisis. The band has a new label, Portrait Records, a subsidiary of CBS. Despite its frankly commercial sound, Equator sold poorly, and Mick Box blamed the clumsiness of CBS, who did not bother to launch records on sale in time: "We went and played everywhere, and everything went quite successfully, and there were no records in stores at that time!". The tour in support of the Equator album turned out to be the last UK tour in the history of Uriah Heep until 2008.
