English original. Wake the Sleeper is the 21st studio album by the rock band Uriah Heep, released on June 2, 2008 in Europe and on August 26, 2008 in the United States. The announced release in September 2007 was postponed (initially to March 2008) as a result of the purchase of Sanctuary Records by Universal Music. This was done to properly promote the album. The British magazine Classic Rock named Wake the Sleeper album of the year.
