Violator is the seventh Studio album by British group Depeche Mode. Violator has become the most famous and commercially successful work of the team and in 1996 received the certificate three times platinum disc from the American Association of record companies. In support of the album Depeche Mode has released four singles (the main of which — "Personal Jesus" and "Enjoy the Silence"), and had a successful world tour that included concerts in North America, Australia, Japan and Europe. In 2003, Rolling Stone magazine put the Violator on 342-e a place in list of "the 500 greatest albums of all time".
