English original. Tormato is the ninth studio album by the English progressive rock band Yes . It was released on September 22, 1978 on Atlantic Records. The album received mixed reactions from critics, but was a commercial success. It reached number 8 in the UK and number 10 in the USA, where it became the fastest-selling album of the band and in two months received a platinum certificate from the American Recording Industry Association for the sale of one million copies. "Don't Kill the Whale" was released as a single, which peaked at number 36 in the UK.
