American original. The centerpiece of the album is trio Billy Taylor Trio (which included bassist Earl May and drummer Ed Thigpen), but the arrangements of Quincy Jones. There is a place for short solos from such players as trumpeter Ernie Royal, trombonist Jimmy Cleveland, Anthony Ortega violist and baritonist Gerry Mulligan, and their presence clearly inspires the pianist Taylor. The album "My Fair Lady Loves Jazz" was recorded when "My Fair Lady" was a big Broadway hit (but a few years before he became a movie).
