Some Great Reward is the fourth Studio album by British band Depeche Mode, released in September 1984.The sound of Some Great Reward vividly demonstrates that the music of Depeche Mode is increasingly becoming dark and gloomy. The overall tone of the album's lyrics was less dependent on words than in Construction Time Again, with the exception of the hit "People Are People", which condemned racism. However, with its reflections on the world and life, Some Great Reward still became a more romantic and introspective album.
